Sedimentary transport dynamics |
|
Our knowledge of the sedimentary processes related to surficial deposits allow us to be able to decipher the transport and sedimentation conditions of both glacial and fluvial material. Drift prospecting through these sediments can be supported by the numerous tools we offer.
All our mapping output can be printed out on large paper media (up to 44" wide) and transfered in your preferred GIS format.
Drift Prospecting
- Mapping of surficial deposits following composition, sedimentary processes, and post-sedimentary events;
- Ice-flow mapping with emphasis on chronology;
- Support and planning of drift prospecting for diamonds / kimberlites, gold, uranium, PGE and base metals;
- Support to interpretation of drift prospecting data (archive and recent), target identification, planning of follow-up exploration;
- Identification of areas of interest;
- Geochemical and mineralogical tracing and statistical analysis.
Fluvial sedimentary dynamics
- Evaluation of erosion, transport and deposition of the sedimentary load of watersheds;
- Evaluation of bank erosion rates and estimation of eroded volumes of sediments.
