Air-photo interpretation of surficial materials and field conditions |
Air-photo interpretation is one of the primary activities of Poly-Géo. Examination of air-photographs of various scales allows us to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the physical environment in terms of surficial materials (composition and thickness) and field conditions (drainage, topography, sensitivity to erosion, stability).
The needs of our customers are met through our ability to adapt our work. Various levels of details can be incorporated in our products. We can produce maps at regional scale (1: 250 000 to 1: 50 000), local scale (1: 20 000 to 10: 000) and detailed scale (1: 5 000 to 1: 2 500).
Our work leads us to produce surficial material maps used in land management, environmental planning and civil engineering projects. We also provide surficial deposit maps following the geological and sedimentary processes involved in the layout of the deposits. These maps find their best uses in drift exploration projects.
